Links The following links have been helpful for our members who have used the Excellence In Writing Program. All About Spelling We recommend "All About Spelling" for the younger grades. It is an Orton-Gillingham based phonetic spelling program that is comprehensive with mastery learning. All About Spelling presents the spelling rules incrementally using tiles and word cards so that any student can succeed with spelling. It is effective for dyslexics. Although it is not a reading program, the rules taught for encoding (forming a word from the sounds) are very helpful for decoding (reading) as well. Reading Help for Learning Disabled Students Susan Barton developed a reading program that is very effective for teaching dyslexic children. For more information on her program, click here.
